- Grinding materials / parts in the specific order which is given by the grinding room Material Handler
- Cleaning the grinding room and all containers assigned.
- Baling cardboard and dumping plant scrap in compactor.
- Cleaning the plant areas as assigned.
- Cleaning out the grinders for changeovers
- Grinding plastic parts into regrind flake so it can be used in the manufacturing process of roll stock and inline thermoforming, (daily).
- Making sure the material is free of contaminates, (as material is ground).
- Daily duties of dumping trash and baling all the cardboard, (before the end of each shift).
- Cleaning assigned areas daily or as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training. A Career Readiness Certificate is preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
No Computer skills needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Grinders lift scrap rolls of plastic from a container, separate the roll into thin layers that can be put into the grinder. Roll weights range from 2lbs up to 50lbs. Line scrap produced while screen changing the bubble also must be separated and ground. Lines scrap plastic can exceed 50lbs.
