      Extrusion Technician

      Wage $29.75 per hour

      The AZEK Company Location: Boise, Idaho

      Schedule - 12-hour shifts following the 2-2-3 schedule. 3-day weekend every other weekend! Hours 6:30am to 7pm.

      The AZEK Company is an industry-leading manufacturer of engineered low-maintenance residential & commercial building products headquartered in Chicago, IL.

      We’re recruiting for Extrusion Technicians for our new extruded plastics building products manufacturing plant in Boise, ID.

      Position Summary:

      The role of an Extrusion Technician has the responsibility of providing technical guidance and support to the Extrusion Operators within their designated shift. This individual will lead and promote a safe working environment in every aspect of their role. The Extrusion Technician will possess considerable skills, knowledge and experience related to running an extrusion line and all associated equipment within a large, 24/7 manufacturing environment.       Core Responsibilities:

      • Value and promote a safe working environment.
      • Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
      • Provides continuous training, technical guidance, and support to Extrusion Operators.
      • Owner of SUR (Scrap/Utilization/Rate) metrics and Quality results.
      • Possess a Strong mechanical aptitude; understand manufacturing processes and technologies.
      • Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and communicate with various levels of the organization to professionally drive improvements
      • Performs audit of process set point control and operator reports.
      • Ensures audit Bills of Process and Standard Operating Procedures are utilized and improved upon when necessary
      • Acts as primary contact with Process Technician for issues/projects, Quality team for product quality issues, and Maintenance Technician for improvements and work order completion.
      • Executes minor maintenance and assists Maintenance Technician if necessary.
      • Serves as a key contributor to line commissioning after maintenance/process events.
      • Meet qualification and certification requirements established by Training Matrix.
      • Performing general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards
      • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.

      Qualifications:

      • Experience working in a manufacturing environment OR running an extrusion line -
      • Experience OR ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work a rotating 12-hour shift.
      • Willing and able to wear all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety procedures
      • Willing and able to work in a smoke-free environment.
      • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
      • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, standing, kneeling, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
      • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.

      Education Requirements:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required
