What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct outbound contact with newly enrolled high school students and parents to provide financial aid overviews
- Deliver excellent customer service and respond to student financial aid inquiries
- Provide accurate information to enrolled students regarding the application process and eligibility for assistance
- Collect information and assess student eligibility through an approved needs analysis
- Follow up diligently on missing paperwork from students to complete their financial aid files in a timely manner
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of financial aid experience in a college or university financial aid office, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to address problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
- Professional and positive communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience attending workshops and trainings related to financial aid and regulatory changes
- Familiarity with state and federal financial aid programs and processes
