We are looking for a FAAD C2 Systems Engineer to support the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems.

  Your day-to-day work will include:

  • The candidate in this role will work with both contractors, government civilians and system operators.
  • Develop system level concepts that provide solutions to problems that often involve multiple systems from multiple product offices.
  • Provide engineering analysis and assessment to support future mission command software development efforts.
  • Develop system models, analyzing system requirements, evaluating technical proposals, developing prototypes, and researching and creating concepts.

  At a minimum you should have:

  • The candidate must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate should have 5 or more years of system engineering experience.
  • The candidate should have background in requirements decomposition, MBSE, Modular Open Systems Architectures and Use case development.
  • System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is preferred.
  • The candidate should also have experience in at least one of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, embedded software, real-time software, near real-time software, or distributed software.
  • Experience with C-RAM, FAAD C2, or C-UAS programs is highly desirable.
  • Candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions can meet the needs of the intended users.
  • The system engineer must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles and requirements decomposition.
  • Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are highly desirable.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe© Agile experience are also a plus.
  • Candidate must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US SECRET security clearance.
