- Read, understand and supervise construction of project to engineering drawings and designs
- Understand and adhere to Packaging Standards established by Waukesha and other engine manufacturers
- Understand and adhere to Packaging Standards established by Compressor Manufacturers
- Compressor background for overhaul, assembly and ability to troubleshoot problems
- Accepts responsibility for the quality of work performed including alignments, running clearances and torques
- Completes WPI Inspection Reports for all Compressor overhauls
- Completes all WPI - QA reports
- Supervises the receipt of materials against the BOM
- Accepting or rejecting materials as necessary
- Reports problems to Branch Manager/Project Engineer/Buyer to resolve any disputes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must have 6 year(s) previous experience
- Must High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have knowledge of Waukesha Engines or other natural gas engines
- Must have knowledge of natural gas compressors
- Must be able to read P&IDs, General Arrangement and Skid Drawings
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
- Must have the ability to supervise and motivate others
- Must have the ability to effectively evaluate others
- Must have good communication skills and good record keeping skills
Scope of Work:
Provide supervisory as required in areas of Fabrication and Revamping of compressor packages. Compile and assure accuracy completing Engine and Compressor/Generator Inspection reports and other WPI Quality Assurance Reporting. This position also assumes the role of liaison between Engineering, Fabrication Manager and Shop personnel.
