      Job Description

      • Develops and administers approved budgets for Facilities.
      • Develops, administers and monitors all programs for operation, maintenance and renovations.
      • Plans, develops and directs the staffing, training and equitable treatment of all team members under his direction.
      • Responsible for the overall operations of the Facilities Department.
      • Hire and terminate all managers, supervisors and staff within the Facilities Department
      • Responsible to obtain all certifications, licenses and permits for the facility.
      • Establish, administer, and evaluate department policies and objectives, including standards of performance.
      • Establish and maintain a maintenance program to ensure a safe area for guests and team members.
      • Establish and maintain a work order system.
      • Establish and schedule an effective preventative maintenance program.
      • Maintain inventory of repair parts and consumable supplies to support building, grounds, physical plant and preventative maintenance to minimize downtown and to maximize cash flow.
      • Effectively schedule, monitor and evaluate all controllable costs.
      • Maintain all regulatory logs and records.
      • Implement and evaluate an energy management program.

      Qualifications

      EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

      • Must have hands-on knowledge in a supervisory capacity with high-pressure, gas fired steam boilers and centrifugal chillers and cooling towers.
      • Must be familiar with computerized building automation systems.
      • Excellent communication skills.
      • Understand and comply with all casino and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
      • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
      • Read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
      • Ability to perform intermediate math.
      • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
      • College degree preferred or Journeyman Engineer status. Stationary engineer or refrigeration certification a plus.
      • Minimum of Five to Seven years’ experience as a Department Head.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

      • Requires being mobile and prolonged standing.
      • Requires climbing ladders and stairs.
      • Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
      • Requires knowledge of hand and power tools.
      • Requires normal sense of smell, touch, and sound.
      • Requires normal vision range and absence of color blindness.
      • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
      • Requires communicating by telephone, beeper and radio.
      • Requires operating a typewriter, calculator and computer

      ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

      • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
      • Must successfully pass background check
      • Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
      • Must be 21 years of age
