- Safely Drive the Health Department medical van and other DCHD facilities vehicles between DCHD sites and community events.
- Knowledge to Safely Carry equipment (Up to 50lbs) while walking to and from the county vehicle.
- Good knowledge of the local geography and street navigation techniques.
- Some knowledge of county facilities, locations, and functions.
- Organizing work assignments to complete tasks.
- Develop and maintain a positive professional relationship with internal and external customers.
- Skill in exercising good judgement and evaluating situations to make decisions.
- Work environment involves working in both a Health Department vehicle and in extreme outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally required to move, lift, and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
Our Facilities Managment team has added a new on-call position to the team. As a facility driver, you will be driving DCHD vehicles, moving the medical van and other DCHD facilities vehicles between DCHD sites and community events. This is an on-call role, which means you will be working less than 1000 hours per year. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License; must be 21 years of age or older and possess and maintain a driving record acceptable to the Health Department's insurance carrier. This position does not require a CDL
