Job Description

- Undertaking and coordinating maintenance tasks to ensure business continuity
- Identifying, prioritizing and executing maintenance tasks over multiple disciplines
- You will participate in the scheduling, communication and delivery of effective preventative maintenance
- Actively ensuring that the appropriate contractors are selected, inducted to site and ensuring they deliver a safe service
- Participating and contributing to improving site safety and efficiency
- Need to be a strong team player, have a methodical approach and have the ability to plan, organise and manage their own workload.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be computer literate – particularly in Excel and Word
- Ideally hold qualification for forklift truck
- Ideally have qualifications to enable them to maintain electrical equipment
- Ideally have project management skills
- Be competent in using power tools
- Hold basic plumbing skills, woodwork skills, painting/decorating, slab laying
- Be confident with working at height and using ladders
- Have an excellent 'can-do' attitude
The role
We have a 6-month fixed term position currently available at our Shawbury site near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. This role will support our small Facilities team with preventative and reactive maintenance across all areas of the site and where appropriate inducting external contractors to accomplish successful delivery of our maintenance and improvement projects.
Every day is different, you get to interact and support members across the business with aspects such as site safety and installation programmes. It’s therefore essential that you are able to manage and prioritize activities to meet the needs of the business. Supporting the management of key projects and meeting project deadlines would also be part of the role.
