HOUSEKEEPING CREW | JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

At Magnolia, the Housek eeping Crew is responsible fo r taking care of all Magnolia properties and carry ing out all necessary hou sekeeping duties . This position works fro m various locations in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Housekeeping Manage r and has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and val ues
• Clean facility areas
• Stock supply rooms and restrooms
• Promote and maintain a safe and clean working, shopping, or eating environment
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
• Notify manage ment of any hazardous areas or necessary repairs
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Properly clean upholstered furniture, windows, and required outside areas
• Duties also include changing sheets, changing and arranging towels, dusting , and rearranging rooms after guests check out
• Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment
• Wash restroom walls where required
• Clean and store all equipment at the end of shift
• Fill out daily report of activities performe d
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hard skills: Knowledge of cleaning supplies and c hemicals
• Soft skills: Hard worker, able to work as a team member and interact positively with others
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Experience: 1-2 years c leaning experience required
• Local candidates strongly preferre d

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
