Overview
• Responsible for maintenance, up-keep, and contracts for MDI Management properties. Performs maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of mechanical systems, plumbing, pneumatics, carpentry, masonry, and other physical structures and fixtures in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.
Responsibilities
• Certified or can become certified to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, etc.• Understands Safety principles in areas such as job site safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).• Ability to perform basic math and use measuring devices.• Entry level understanding of blueprints and schematics.• Paints structures, uses hand and power tools, repairs tools and equipment, and performs upkeep on grounds and landscaping.• Assist higher level technicians in performing general maintenance activities such as carpentry, plumbing, and masonry.• Assist higher level technicians in maintaining dock doors and dock plates to include spring replacement, steel work, and preventative maintenance.• Attend and successfully complete any training as assigned by management. • Utilize company work order system for assignments and track time. • May be required to perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• High standard of integrity and professionalism.• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
