      Job Description

      The Facilities Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the assigned buildings remain safe, secure, and well-maintained. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle general maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.

      Responsibilities

      • Monitor the facility to ensure it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
      • Troubleshoot power, HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical systems.
      • Perform general and preventative maintenance on carpentry, plumbing systems, and oversee vendor management.
      • Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
      • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials upon request.

      Essential Skills

      • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
      • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
      • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • High school diploma or GED required.
      • 8-10 years of relevant experience required.
      • Electrical and HVAC skills.
      • EPA Universal Certification is necessary.

      This is a Contract position based out of Tuskegee, Alabama.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $34.00/hr.
