      We currently have an opening for a Facilities Operations Specialist for Krause Funeral Home in Milwaukee, WI. The Facilities Associate primary responsibility is to assist in ensuring the facility is kept clean, safe, and comfortable for Team Members and visiting guests. The Facilities Associate conducts regular maintenance to the grounds and buildings as well as partners with local vendors.

      Overview & Responsibilities:

      • Ensures grounds and maintenance is always show ready and assists with maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety and properly working equipment
      • Supports training of Facilities New Hires and assists Team Members with tasks as needed
      • Ensures fleet is maintained, cleaned, washed, and fueled
      • Ensure property is maintained and ready for guests including stripping and shining floors as needed
      • Does routine maintenance - changing light bulbs, performing minor electrical or plumbing work
      • Oversees basic pest control and partner with local vendors for larger issues such as hornets’ nests on the building
      • Performs basic upkeep of AC & heating units
      • Ensures walkways are clear of snow, ice or hazards and are safe for guests and team members and maintain lawn and landscaping for beauty and safety
      • Oversees that during severe weather such as hurricanes, blizzards, etc. will ensure that power is on, cooler is operating, and facilities are kept in working order
      • Prepares the facility for impending adverse weather such as installing shutters or covering windows and glass with plywood
      • Acts as point person if there is a loss of phone or internet services
      • Acts as runner for death certificates as needed
      • Ensures proper paperwork is completed timely and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations

      Requirement & Qualifications:

      • Experience in facilities maintenance role is preferred
      • Vocational license or successful completion of a vocational school
      • Clear understanding of and the ability to use various forms of technology and communications i.e., online portals, social media, email, live webinars, text, phone, and tablet
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clear driving record
