      Come and join us! An Oracle Datacenter Facility Engineer will perform key roles to delivering core infrastructure & foundational technologies within the Oracle data centers. We are seeking an engineer with expertise in mission critical environments. You have exceptional attention to detail, advanced technical expertise, and know how to take action when appropriate.

      As the facility engineer, you will coordinate with others to ensure the continuous availability of the power and cooling in the data center. Your role will be critical to supporting our customers growth and ensuring we deliver on our promises.

      Daily Job Duties:

      · Review of MOPs and SOPs for accuracy, safety, and to assess the potential for business impact.

      · Ensure critical systems redundancy is available and equipment is maintained in accordance with published schedules.

      · Creation of Oracle change management request.

      · Act as Oracle lead on the resolution of engineering incidents within assigned data centers.

      · Undertake power and cooling capacity audits.

      · Monitoring data center environmental data and responding to alarms.

      · Infra-red scanning of electrical infrastructure.

      · Support local data center operations teams.

      · Provide on-call out of hours coverage in accordance with schedule.

      Responsibilities:

      · Represent Oracle with partner organizations and holding them accountable for meeting their commitments.

      · Ensure partner organizations adhere to Oracle change management policies.

      · Data center utilization is maintained within capacity limits.

      · Ensure environmental and capacity tools are reporting accurately and are up-to-date.

      · Ensure facility documentation repository is complete and up-to-date.

      · Data hall cooling containment meets design standards.

      · Installation of IT equipment is adhering to room layout and power striping design.

      · Assist with developing dashboards and automation to support scalable solutions.

      · Be accessible via cell phone and willing to work onsite as emergencies require outside of business hours.

      · Participate and complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new relevant technologies.

      · Act with in Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you in your space.

      Requirements:

      · Knowledge of data center power and cooling critical systems.

      · Ability to read and utilize electrical and mechanical schematics.

      · Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

      · Excellent time management skills.

      · Diligent with excellent organizational skills.

      · Good interpersonal and relationship building skills.

      · Strong curiosity about learning new DC concepts.

      · Conscientious and trustworthy.

      · Process oriented.

      · Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

      · Strong presentation and written communication skills

      Required Skills

      · At least 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining electrical and/or power electronic systems.

      · Troubleshooting experience on commercial power and cooling systems.

      · Change management experience. Creating and implementing maintenance tickets.

      · Ability to prioritize work based on business needs and urgency.

      · Ability to communicate and write effectively in both verbal and written communication mediums.

      · Experience taking on-call shifts and ability to respond to critical events as needed.

      Preferred Qualifications

      · Associates degree or higher in an electrical or electronic discipline; or Journeyman electrical license or higher.

      · 3+ Years of Data Center Experience.

      !*!Provide building and office management services for economy of operation and maximum usage of facilities and equipment. Work with external vendors to develop and implement facilities plans. Review vendor contracts, onsite vendor performance, timely work order completion, and construction related activities. Participate in collaborative space planning efforts with internal resources and user groups. Prepare and monitor annual property budget and other related costs in facility planning. This position will interface with both senior management as well as individual contributors.

      As a member of our Real Estate and Facilities team, you will assist the building or office manager in all aspects of daily operations. This may include managing Oracle's office space and equipment. Ensure adherence to company guidelines, processes and building and safety codes. Obtain, review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and preparation. Prepare annual budget. Conduct benchmarking.

      Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Applies professional, technical, and operational depth and experience to continuously improve service quality. Excellent communication and decision making skills. Familiarity with email and MS Office applications is essential. Willing to function as after- hours contact for facilities emergencies and be accessible via phone or pager. Degree, relevant certification or equivalent with 5 years prior facilities management or assistant property manager experience preferred.
