Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to support the delivery of maintenance and operational services across the Department of Communities & Justice contract. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage the CMMS system, and ensure safety and compliance standards are met across sites.
This role is based on-site in Matraville and is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking stability and long-term job security in a government-aligned client portfolio.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting a seamless experience for our client by providing first-line operational oversight, supporting WHS initiatives, and maintaining strong contractor relationships to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
The ideal candidate will be
A confident communicator, highly organised, and experienced in coordinating reactive and preventative maintenance in a facilities environment. You’ll bring a proactive mindset, strong stakeholder focus, and the ability to manage competing priorities across sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the CMMS system, allocate work orders, and ensure service KPIs are met
- Coordinate and support subcontractors including documentation, WHS compliance, and service delivery
- Provide first-point-of-contact support for site operations and ensure customer expectations are met
- Monitor job requests, follow up on overdue works, and maintain asset and service documentation
- Ensure all services comply with QMS, WHS, EMS, and contractual requirementsEducation, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Proven experience in facilities supervision, maintenance coordination, or property operations
- Knowledge of building services, general maintenance, and subcontractor oversight
- Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office systems
- Strong communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Understanding of WHS and environmental compliance standardsDesirable:
- Relevant trade qualification or facilities management diploma
- Current Driver’s Licence
- First Aid CertificationWorkplace Flexibility
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Matraville within the Department of Communities & Justice portfolio.
