- High School degree or equivalent preferred
- Must have skills to use various computer systems and programs related to the position (email, spreadsheets, online ticketing system, etc.)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing maintenance and upkeep of commercial buildings and equipment
- Knowledge of plumbing, basic HVAC, electrical, drywall repair and painting
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Must be at least 23 or older, possess a valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and be able to provide proof of valid car insurance/registration
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel to multiple locations
- Own and maintain basic hand tools
- Must be willing to get an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card, pass a Tuberculosis test, and meet all other hiring requirements
- Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, roofing, minor HVAC, etc.
- Perform all preventative maintenance on building and equipment including air filters, replacing light fixtures, etc.
- Complete assigned facility work tickets and document outcomes accordingly
- When needed, help oversee any work done by vendors
- Ensure assigned facilities are ready for regular business and special events; help with event setup and take down activities
- Help maintain the inventory, storage, and distribution of non-IT related office equipment and furnishings, and provide recommendations for purchases of such items as needed
- Build and or repair office/clinic furnishings
- Assist in office and clinic location moves and/or remodel projects
- Perform other duties as necessary or as directed by management
- Perform upkeep of landscaping, pest control, and sprinkler systems, including basic repairs
- Blow off sidewalks, parking lots, patios, dumpster corrals, play areas, and other outdoor areas
- Perform daily site-wide trash pickup and collection to maintain cleanliness
- Maintain the overall appearance and safety of the grounds
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, break rooms and shared areas
- Restock supplies in restrooms, as needed
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and other cleaning emergencies
- Ensure trash and recycling bins are emptied regularly
- Regularly disinfect common touch points (doorknobs and handles, chairs, restroom fixtures, etc.)
- Clean exterior windows regularly
- Diagnose emergency problems and make prompt fixes to minimize disruption and downtime
- Conduct regular checks of facility grounds using maintenance checklists
- Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
- Participate in training to stay informed and refreshed on processes and procedures
- Complete monthly facility inspection reports

The Facilities Technician that we're seeking to hire will be responsible for ensuring that AZA United facilities remain in optimal working condition. This involves completing maintenance, upkeep and cleaning, and preventative maintenance tasks for all buildings and grounds owned and leased by AZA United. Currently, we have offices in Phoenix, Chandler, Mesa, Avondale and Glendale. This role will be responsible for helping to guarantee the facilities are safe, clean, up to code, and fully operational.
