      Facility Cleaner

      What will you do?

      To ensure that the common areas of the manufacturing facility and warehouse utilized on a daily basis are cleaned and sanitized within Good Manufacturing Practices. The job’s main focus is to provide support service which requires greater emphasis on timeliness and/or cost effectiveness.

      Responsibilities:

      • Perform daily cleaning of production, lab, warehouse, office, and washroom areas of the facility as per the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
      • Manage and complete facility projects such as stripping and waxing floors, cleaning of air diffusers and exhaust grills, etc.
      • Perform waste disposal and recycling services.
      • Manage the disposal of waste form dust collectors.
      • Accurately sign all Good Manufacturing Practices cleaning records and documentation.
      • Ensure regular replenishing of all facility dispensers including paper, soap, and production garments.
      • Maintain inventory of all cleaning and maintenance supplies.
      • Other duties as required.

      How will you get there?

      Requirements

      Education:

      • Minimum high school graduate.

      Experience:

      • 2 years of preferred experience in a pharmaceutical or food-processing environment, preferably in a maintenance role.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
      • Ability to maintain accurate records of activities.
      • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
      • In this role it is essential to perform shift work
      • Proficiency with the English language.
      • Demonstrated commitment to our fundamental principles of Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
      • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices regulations an asset.
      • Able to prioritize cleaning activities.
      • Attention to detail.
