      Facility Maintenance Tech

      Location: Muncie, IN, USA

      As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in our organization by ensuring the proper functioning, reliability, and longevity of Astemo's facility and equipment. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs in order to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency and quality.

      Job Summary:

      • Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment.
      • Must be able to interact and schedule outside vendors on repairs and service contracts.
      • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of machines and equipment, according to maintenance schedules and guidelines.
      • Replace or repair defective parts such as belts, bearings, motors, or sensors.
      • Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems or abnormalities in the machines.
      • Collaborate with team members and team leads to analyze and resolves complex technical problems.
      • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
      • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with the machinery, as well as comply with industry regulations and standards to ensure equipment is operating within legal and safety parameters.
      • Provide technical support to production teams to minimize operational disruptions.
      • Other Duties as Assigned.

      Qualifications:

      Knowledge skills and abilities:

      • Ability to promote and carry out Astemo philosophy.
      • Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercises good judgement and be highly motivated.
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • High level of accuracy.
      • Maintains clean and orderly work environment.
      • 2 years of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical experience.
      • Ability to communicate with project vendors/ suppliers.
      • Proven experience in machine maintenance, repair, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
      • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
      • Basic experience required in Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
      • Intermediate experience in Glovia.

      Qualifications

      Experience:

      • High School Diploma or GED.
      • Minimum of 3 years work-related experience.
      • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties.
      • Knowledge of both high and low voltages AC & DC.

      Working conditions:

      Physical Demands:

      • Regular viewing of computer monitors, and other visual displays.
      • Ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision or daily direction.
      • Ability to attend meetings outside of standard work hours as needed (AM or PM meetings).
      • On-site work will be within factory office setting, where noise can be present.
      • Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
      • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
      • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
      • Ability to grip and grasp, repetitive use of hands

      Travel:

      • 5% international and domestic travel
