      Compensation:

      In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

      Role Summary:

      The primary purpose of this position is to provide management, administration, and oversight of all direct care ORR/Haven functions that impact the health, safety, and treatment of The Haven residents.

      Major Duties and Responsiblites:

      • Develops and executes policies and procedures and a system of accountability that tracks the quality of service, program budget, relevant documentation, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
      • Effectively supervises, evaluates, and directs the work of a diverse group of employees (youth counselors). Timely completion of performance appraisals, regular supervisory meetings, performance documentation, staff development, and supervision for success best practices. Supports Assistant Director in personnel functions including recruitment, hiring, retention, and discipline of staff.
      • Ensures sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
      • Completes Records of Discussions with youth counselors under the approval of the Assistant Director I to ensure that all staff concerns are met, and policies and procedures are properly implemented.
      • Assures department personnel, residents, visitors, etc., follow established policies and procedures, to include safety rules and regulations, always.
      • Provides group and individual trainings and in-services, as appropriate, to ensure that all staff on the shift are well trained and meet their mandatory required training hours per regulations.
      • Coordinates and assists with daily living skills instruction (tooth brushing, showering, dressing, and bed-making, toilet training, eating, laundry, kitchen, etc.).
      • Provides residents with opportunities to make choices either by via vocal communication, translation tools, signing, picture cues, partial physical assistance, or total physical assistance.
      • Attends staff meetings, in-service training, and other agency/program meetings as scheduled.
      • Reports any unusual incidents/accidents immediately to the Supervisor, both verbally and in writing.
      • Coordinates supervision and transportation for residents’.
      • Performs other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by supervisor.

      Qualifications


      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services field required.

      Experience:

      • Two+ years in a residential setting as a supervisor/manager is required.
      • Pro Act trained and or Pro Act trainer (preferred).
      • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required; Proficiency in other languages preferred.
      • Ability to work collaboratively with members of interdisciplinary teams.
      • Demonstrated awareness of sensitivity to and competence in dealing with culturally, and socio-economically diverse client populations.

      Specific Requirements:

      • Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles. Or ability to facilitate travel for and with clients to and from potential job sites and lesson destinations used for training, using available transportation resources which may include public transportation, rideshare, etc.
