Job Description

- Responsible for all customer related interactions in the facility, for example:
- Answering the phone and greeting visitors upon arrival,
- Answering questions and providing program information.
- Providing assistance to program instructors, associations and volunteers, for example:
- Processing memberships and collecting fees,
- Taking attendance and entering data,
- Preparing and ensuring the completion of forms,
- Organizing and taking an inventory of program equipment.
- Responsible for monitoring facility safety and cleanliness, for example:
- Assisting with kitchen and room setup and take down
- Cleaning the facility to ensure it is tidy and that adequate supplies are available to guests
- Reporting problems and unusual occurrences to supervisors
- Responsible for the daily administration of the front office.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Grade 12 Diploma.
- A demonstrated ability to handle cash, balance deposits, etc.
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar/related environment.
- Well-developed customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work in a team environment, liaison with key internal and external stakeholders and to function effectively with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software programs with the ability to adapt quickly to applicable software.
- Experience with ActiveNet would be considered an asset.
- Availability to work flexible hours (i.e.. Working shifts for a 7 day operation, overtime etc.).
- Able to work at various locations across the city.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Ability to lift up to thirty (30) lbs.
- Current First Aid and CPR, level C with defibrillation certificates.
- A clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Proven completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- A demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture.
- Proof of education will be required upon hire.
