      Organization:

      SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley

      Position Overview:

      Responsible for the development of standard work and consistent controls. This position works to document and align processes and best practices and ensures implementation of these processes through the development of comprehensive training programs. In addition to standard training, provides ongoing support, coaching and mentoring as needed. It is also the responsibility of this position to monitor compliance of established departmental process and procedures. Leads and manages special projects, and drives continuous improvement to departmental processes, while assuring compliance with Sutter Health Policy.
      Has an awareness of work performed by the team and focuses primarily in one of: Construction Contract Management, Finance Management, Process Documentation/Improvement or Department Technology. Part of this role is to serve as a liaison to business partners across other Sutter Health departments, manage programs and processes related to the area of focus, and assist in the management of workload within the area of focus.

      Technology Management

      Perform and manage system maintenance activities for projects and portfolios and daily monitoring of issues.

      Manage ongoing development for project and portfolio desktop, web, and apps.

      Manage regular reviews of projects and portfolios to ensure data integrity.

      Manage system reporting out of projects and portfolios.

      Manage integrations between projects and portfolios to software applications.

      Manage system dashboarding across database technologies.

      Manage data mining activities and requests for information from databases.

      Provide support and training to other teammates within the same center of excellence.

      Provide input to workload management for others within the same center of excellence.

      Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) role for solutions, managing escalated production issues with internal development teams and vendors.

      Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and document the business needs under FPS leadership.

      Strategy

      Design and validate technical solutions to meet business requirements via configuring and testing software including procurement, testing, and guiding deployment.

      Develop, maintain, and own the technical product roadmap

      Document the design concepts for implementation and integration of new technologies.

      Ensure new deployments and changes to technology configurations are aligned with current standards where appropriate as well as provide insight and support for complex, cross-functional projects.

      Stay informed on emerging products, services, trends, development methodologies, and standards

      Suggest recommendations to apply emerging technologies or standards to improve services.

      Infrastructure

      Consult and direct identification of technologies that will enhance current or anticipated infrastructure elements to support business goals.

      Ensure the alignment of solutions with Sutter Health standards.

      Compare and evaluate the design and capabilities of multiple software solutions.

      Identify new solutions for delivering services to clients.

      Job Description:

      EDUCATION:

      • Bachelor’s or equivalent education/experience
      • BA in network engineering, information services, project management, or similar

      TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

      • 5 years recent relevant experience

      SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

      • Thorough understanding of project coordination/management, budgeting and scheduling concepts and procedures is required, as well as the process of project planning, design and construction.
      • Proficient in interpretation of architectural and engineering designs and computer modeling.
      • Must be well versed with health care construction building codes and regulations, space programming and allocation cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
      • Must be well versed with the State of California building approval processes including OSHPD, the State Fire Marshall, and municipal discretionary approvals, as well as TJC regulation.
      • Consultative skills to gather needs and translate requests into potential solutions.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, management techniques and technical knowledge.
      • Experienced in project management from design through final completion and licensing on major California hospital projects must be demonstrated.
      • Ability to team with staff across multiple projects.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage and balance multiple interests and resolve conflicts.
      • The ability to work independently and as a team member and achieve designated goals and objectives are required.
      • Familiarity with computer software programs such as Meridian Prolog, Microsoft Word, Project and Excel is preferred.
      • Proficient with industry-recognized scheduling and estimating tools, processes and software.
      • Requires an emphasis on service and customer relationship management in accordance with leadership standards.

      The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
