- Develop and deliver engaging and effective online marketing course content to prepare students for professional roles in the field.
- Teach courses in online marketing and business core curricula.
- Collaborate with the marketing faculty to ensure courses remain aligned with industry standards.
- Provide support to adjunct faculty in transitioning courses to include contemporary marketing trends and content.
- Engage in quality interpersonal, written, and verbal communication with students and colleagues.
- Participate in professional development activities to remain active and current in the field.
- Join faculty meetings (virtually) and support program goals, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A master’s degree in marketing, business, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, with at least 18 graduate credits in marketing or related areas.
- Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in marketing and the business core.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing, Business, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, with at least 18 graduate credits in marketing or related areas.
- Relevant professional experience in marketing.
- Certification or specialized training in a marketing-related field (e.g., digital marketing, analytics).
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level, particularly in online or hybrid formats.

The Harold Walter Siebens School of Business at Buena Vista University (BVU) seeks a part-time online Marketing Instructor, committed to excellence in undergraduate marketing education. The successful candidate will serve as a content expert and teach courses in the undergraduate online marketing and business core curricula, aligned with their credentials and interests. This role offers the flexibility of remote teaching within a supportive academic community. Instructors will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative online curricula while positively impacting students’ professional growth and preparing them for careers in marketing. This part-time role is expected to encompass 18 to 20 hours of weekly work through online teaching, course design/updates as well collaborative projects focused on program improvements.
The Business major in the Harold Walter Siebens School of Business is designed to develop analytical, interpersonal, and professional skills grounded in a comprehensive understanding of business and marketing.

BVU is in the process of upgrading its online programs in business. As part of this project, we are expanding our team to include additional full and part-time business instructors dedicated to the online program, expanding support for online instructors, and offering expanded access to training and professional development resources. Instructors are encouraged to engage in peer collaboration and feedback opportunities to continuously enhance their teaching practices.
