Co-create semantic application models and terminologies for data products by applying an in-house methodology for data harmonization.
Apply advanced analytical skills in understanding, analyzing and modeling scientific data leveraged in pharmaceutical/ life science research.
Collaborate with scientists and business analysts to translate requirements into the implementation of FAIR data products.
Support data standardization and harmonization across different functions by applying biomedical terminologies and ontologies.
Contribute to strengthen FAIR Data Governance in the pRED Data & Analytics community and consult colleagues from different functions on data literacy, data standards, FAIR data, data harmonization.
Extend our Roche semantic model based on new business requirements in alignment with relevant external reference models
Implement and constantly improve the acquisition and integration of major public terminology resources.
Support the automation of terminology processing pipelines and implement intelligent processes for QA.
Interface with project teams working on semantic technologies to build a pRED knowledge graph with FAIR data and participate in pre-competitive initiatives to drive the implementation of FAIR data in the pharma industry.
You have a solid foundation in computational life science (e.g. Bioinformatician, Computer Scientist, Biologist, MD, Chemist) and are passionate about FAIRifying and harmonizing data
You have an excellent working knowledge of data and information architecture and good knowledge and experience with RDF, RDFS, OWL and related vocabularies for knowledge representation such as BFO, SKOS, SKOS-XL, Dublin Core, PROV-O.
You are familiar with REST APIs, their usage, e.g. via CURL, as well as with JSON/JSON-LD and have experience with ontology tools like Protégé and capability to write or adapt SPARQL queries.
You have working knowledge in a programming language, like Python, R, or JAVA and you are familiar with key semantic resources in the life sciences and data standards would be desirable, including, but not limited to, Ontology Lookup Service, Bioportal, NCIt, ICD-10, MedDRA, SNOMED, CDISC, Allotrope, OHDSI etc.
You are able to have a holistic view/understanding when addressing scientists’ needs in order to always propose and implement generic and harmonized solutions across systems.

The mission of our team is to propagate and apply best data practices for the design, development and delivery of innovative integrated scientific informatics solutions and platforms focusing on data capture, analysis, and visualization of chemical, biological and biomedical data to support scientific decision making in all stages of the drug development processes and finally to deliver new innovative treatments to the patients.
