      As an Intern reporting to the Electrical Engineer, you'll be integrated into the Energy and Infrastructure Department and collaborate closely with other Departments of the operation. Your role will involve ensuring the achievement of set goals and objectives while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental values.

      • Participate to electrical projects such as optimization of the powerhouse, modification of the electrical system, energy saving, and more;
      • Support the Project Coordinator in the project execution and for all new electrical installations;
      • Ensure the engineering standards for labeling equipment and drawings with proper locations;
      • Support the Powerhouse and Electrical crew;
      • Participate to electrical drawings update and creation (single line and wiring diagrams, general arrangement, etc. with AutoCAD);
      • Track energy consumption (electrical and fuel) and power analysis (database, trends, reports, etc.);
      • Ensure the respect of standards of electrical installations;
      • Write and interpret specifications, regulations and procedures about electric power equipment and its use.
      • Currently enrolled in a University degree program in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field;
      • Students must be enrolled in their university’s formal Co-op program.
      • A strong ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as a member of a team is required.
      • Strong work ethic with the ability to handle change.
      • Demonstrate a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
      • Strong communication skills including verbal and written as well as presentation skills required..

      Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

      Your Work Schedule:

      • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
      • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
