      POSITION SUMMARY:
      Under the direction of the Family Experience Director and in harmony with the Christian nature and purpose of the established policies and goals of the YMCA, the Family Experience Leader will provide a fun, quality, holistic youth program which will expose youth to opportunities for physical and social development, experiences, and learning through play. Provide a program within a safe and energetic environment. Provides direct service in Family Programs, and group visits, and delivers quality early childhood development experience and care.
      QUALIFICATIONS:
      1. Helps to carry out activities, experiences, and routines under the direct supervision of the Family Experience Director.
      2. Promotes a team environment through a positive approach in supervision, communication, and interactions with others.
      3. Assists and delivers care to drop in child care services (Stay and Play and Interactive Zone) as scheduled.
      4. Assists in planning and implementing YMCA events to include but not limited to: Family Programming, Parents Time Out, Birthday Parties, Holiday Events, etc.
      5. Use a diverse selection of materials, equipment, and experiences for all participants.
      6. Ensure safety of participants and staff at all times.
      7. Complete all opening and closing procedures as established.
      8. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
      9. Maintain a professional, clean appearance and a respectful and committed attitude, adhere to association dress code, and attend and participate in required training and meetings.
      10. Follow age guidelines and proper equipment setting needs.
      11. Accurately report all out of the ordinary incidents immediately on an Association Occurrence Report promptly forwarding it to the Family Experience Director.
      12. Ensure shift coverage is available should you be unavailable for a shift.
      13. Communicate YMCA policies, programs and special events.
      14. Follow procedures for participants checking in and out.
      15. Actively participate in Annual Giving Campaigns.
      16. Greet all youth and families participating in the program in order to establish a connection.

      ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

      The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

      1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
      2. Will be required to walk, stand, kneel, stoop, push, sit, crouch, pull, lift 40 pounds and carry 40 pounds
      3. Continuous operations requiring attention to details (multi task)
      4. Will be exposed to cleaning supplies (i.e. bleach), vacuuming, body fluids, noise from numerous children and equipment activities
