Pennsylvania - Any CCA Family Service Center Additional Information: Show/Hide Interview and onboard new Mentors and complete separation procedures when necessary.
Provide positive and constructive performance feedback to Family Mentors monthly and additionally as needed.
Approve (or deny) and submit Family Mentor hours for stipend payment
Plan and execute multiple monthly professional development meetings (virtual and/or in person) for Family Mentors within their region.
Provide virtual drop-in Family Mentor support sessions (open office hours) to provide hands-on support to Family Mentors with any technology, edio, Google platform, or role questions.
Respond to questions and update individual, supervision communications with Mentors on a daily basis., and collaboration and case study groups regularly.
Communicate with Family Mentors via phone and webmails on a daily basis.
Provide on-call support to Family Mentors when questions and/or needs arise as they support their families.
Weekly reporting on newly enrolled families, assigning newly enrolled families to their Family Mentor based on Mentor region, and Family Mentor call roster management.
Monthly reporting on the number of active families, withdraws, webmail only families, and those that opted out of the mentoring program. Additional monthly reporting on home visits and Family Mentor meet-ups.
Minimum of bi-weekly contacts with all families on the Family Involvement Coordinator caseload.
Respond to, and assist with requests for family home visits. Coordinate with the family, Family Mentor, and all teachers to set a time and develop support plan for the family.
Manage collaboration and case study groups (mentoring groups within the team of mentors) to lead conversation, provide advice on complicated family support issues, answer any questions that arise, and assign, collect, and edit family mentor newsletter submissions.
Facilitate Family Mentor Drop-in Support Virtual Class Sessions for families.
Serve as an administrator of the CCA Family Mentor Support Facebook Group.
Monitor the Contact a Parent Initiative on the CCA Website.
Identify students who have withdrawn or are potentially withdrawing and follow the grade level procedure for handling them with the assistant principal or homeroom teacher and personally contact each family (who is supported by the Mentoring Division) who withdraws from CCA.
Contact families from the HS Assistant Principal’s (AP) list of students who aren’t engaging to act as a final lifeline to the family.
Assist the Manager of Family Involvement in planning and organizing the Summer Intensive – A training for Family Mentors.
Other duties as assigned.
Facilitate Love and Logic Parenting Classes
Conduct Summer/Fall Learning Coach Outreach Sessions and Calls
Aid in Student Picture Day, Bookmobile, and other Initiatives

Position Summary
12 Month PositionWorking from a Family Service Center, the Family Involvement Coordinator – Mentoring Division is responsible for overseeing and supporting Family Mentors within their region through ongoing feedback, guidance, and professional development. The Family Involvement Coordinator will work with the Manager of Family Involvement to constantly improve the mentoring division and the support offered to families and staff. Supervising the efforts of the Family Mentors will enrich and expand the learning experience for both the students and learning coaches at Commonwealth Charter Academy.
