- Responsible for setting-up and tearing-down all event equipment and/or spaces.
- Ensuring all events start and end on time, as scheduled.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the facility for all participants.
- Ensuring facility cleanliness at all times.
- Assisting in traffic and crowd control during events.
- Reporting any facility or equipment irregularities, unsafe conditions or feedback to supervisor in writing.
- Following and enforcing all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
- Reporting all incidents/accidents on the appropriate form as required and provide to supervisor within 24 hours of event.
- Attending all required training sessions and scheduled meetings.
- Maintain prompt hours and follow established procedures for absences.
- Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum age of 20
- Relevant knowledge of rules for sport associated with youth program
- Must be able to frequently perform the following physical activities; bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for extended periods of time, walk, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and communicate verbally and have adequate hearing
- Must be able to perform work both indoors and out and be exposed to prevalent weather conditions
- Must possess ability to remain alert and maintain concentration for long periods of time to ensure quality scorekeeping
- Must possess ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment
- Must be able to show initiative in the absence of supervision
- Must be able to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
- Must be able to handle questions/concerns and resolve conflicts in a courteous and professional manner
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Commitment to the YMCA mission, vision and values
- Must attend New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire
- Complete CPR/AED, First Aid, and O2 in accordance with Conditions of Employment
- Understand and abide-by all policies and procedures as set forth by the association
- Work a schedule that reflects the needs of the branch
