The Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management is searching for a faculty member in Fashion Product Development.Responsibilities include teaching, independent scholarly research, and participation in recruitment, shared governance, and other activities of the Department, the Wilson College of Textiles and the University.The successful candidate will need to have demonstrated experience and competence in development processes such as pattern making (digital and manual), technical specifications, fit, marker making/grading, and apparel construction. Expertise in Product Management is preferred. Skills in industrial production and 3D apparel visualization technologies are highly valued. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be proficient in creative and entrepreneurial thinking, and the use of design technologies and textile materials to creatively develop products that meet the needs of consumers and customers worldwide.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate competence in quantitative/qualitative research methods that advance knowledge in the field, build a record of successful grant writing, and be capable of collaborating with industry partners on projects and research.About the company
