Analyse data to identify trends, solutions, recommendations, etc.
Storytelling through numbers.
Use your knowledge in your field to feed into financial sales planning cycles.
Use your expertise and analysis to build the buying strategy for Canada.
Use your knowledge to lead the buyers through the buys adhering and feeding into the global product strategy.
Forecast accurate levels of reorders to support the business while adhering to company strategy and budgets.
Monitor deliveries; work closely with supply chain in Paris, and share updates with Boutiques and Management.
Make informed strategic decisions on when to launch products to best meet the business needs.
Ensure product is moved around the business to optimize sales.
Provide support on stock levels for Boutique Openings, events and refurbishments.
Management of markdowns and obsolete stock.
Build reports to feed information on products and sales trends to Boutique Managers and Management
Analyze performance to improve future performance, identifying and creating action plans to improve the business where necessary
Build good working relationships with Boutique staff to gather qualitative feedback to better understand the needs of the business.
Direct VM to ensure relevant exposure of products.
Direct training to ensure product messages reach Boutique Staff.
Keep up with competitor activities and positioning.
Deal with adhoc queries and requests relating to product and stock from Fashion Boutiques.
University degree in a related field, or 3-5 years of experience in a similar field.
Strong understanding of Power BI
Proficiency in Excel
Experience in product and working with creatives.
Knowledge of the industry and our competitors.

Fashion Merchandising Data Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON – CHANEL
Reports to: Merchandising Manager
Contract: Full-time and Permanent
Your role @ Chanel:
Your role as Fashion Merchandising Data Analyst in managing the Canadian business in your relevant Fashion category is to build expert knowledge in the area to analyze data in such a way that translates and conveys key messages to influence our buyers and drive the business. You will need to use your analytic and creative skill sets to interpret and present data to clearly convey KPI Updates, trends, recommendations, solutions, strategy, and product learnings to a wide range of stakeholders.
