FCAS2023: ILS Manager for FCAS Services (d/f/m)

The Next Generation Weapon System (NGWS) within the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) addresses the next generation of air combat capabilities in Europe. We are looking for an ILS Manager for FCAS Services (d/f/m) who is willing to actively shape the future of support services in the FCAS environment.

As an ILS Manager for FCAS Services you will be concentrating on the ILS Management of new Platforms with a strong focus on future operations and In Service needs.

This position combines traditional projects management responsibilities with creative aspects of designing new support concepts for demonstrators and operational products.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Alignment and coordination of all ILS management tasks and deliverables with internal and external stakeholder for dedicated contracts covering the development, production as well as initial In Service Phase
• Management, Coordination and support of all activities related to the contractual obligations of FCAS Services for dedicated contracts
• Elaboration of future orientated ILS/ISS solutions in the Design to Service approach (definition of concepts, use cases, system and technology requirements)
• Coordination of Services CoCs, especially ensuring the fulfilment of FACS Services contractual obligations and the support FCAS Services campaign/bid activities
• Participation to & preparation of internal and external meetings
• Support Programme requested schedule and timeline tasks
• Prepare & release ILS related deliverables during the Programme execution
• Risk Mgmt / Tracking / Planning within ILS disciplines and Programme
• Support and ensure coordination of ILS related PMT tasks
• Support planning, verification and release of Programme budget and OP planning
• Manage supplier Request for Proposals

Desired skills and qualifications

• Academic degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent

• 8 and more years of experience in (military) aviation business

• Profound experience in project / programme management function

• Profound knowledge of ILS/ISS processes

• Innovative and disruptive mind-set and vision to propose and implement agile solutions and challenge the traditional ways of working

• Customer and goal oriented way of working

• Team worker with international openness (experience in international project mgmt)

• Flexibility and engagement (work in evolving and changing environment)

• German and English at negotiation level

• Military background (at leadership level) is a plus

• PMP certification is a plus
