      Detailed description:

      Feature Owner - Gauges, Fuel & Trip Computer

      (Driver Information System & Displays)

      Mission of the Role:

      To have end-to-end ownership of a feature, work with customer and other stakeholders to understand the requirements for the Instrument cluster & displays, capture SW requirements, allocate requirements to the right teams and review the quality of the implementation.

      Key Objectives of this Role:

      1. Feature Planning, tracking, change & defect management:

        1. Lead the definition of the Work package expanding it to further work items.

        2. Establish plan according to the project milestone.

        3. Negotiate with the customer on the technical requirements and delivery timing.

        4. Estimate Efforts for SW Requirements.

        5. Manage change requests through the change control process.

        6. Actively manage the defect assigned to the feature by working with all the stakeholders.

        7. Plan and track all the certification and manufacturing related activities as part of Feature tracking.

        8. Develop the SOW and manage the work packages for third party features.

      1. Feature requirements definition/evolution with customer

        1. Analyze system requirements and its impact on operating environment.

        2. Define the feature requirements working closely with the customer.

        3. Open Issue log, track for closure and mature requirements.

        4. Collaborate with customer on evolution of functional requirements.

        5. Influence customer requirements to enhance Visteon platform reuse.

        6. Ensure clear communication of dependency and the impact on delivery to the customer.

        7. Identifies Critical requirements, Proof-Of-Concepts (POC) to mitigate risk and define POC scope.

        8. Define feature execution flow diagram aligned with the SW Architecture.

        9. Work with the Software and Hardware teams on the feasibility to support any committed requirements.

        10. Document the SW functional and non-functional requirements with the necessary attributes and release to the Development teams.

        11. Lead the HMI definition (wherever applicable), working with Manufacturing, Ensure the performance (KPI) for every feature is defined.

        12. Conduct Software Requirements walk-through to the stakeholders.

        13. Define verification criteria, method and owner for each SW Requirements.

        14. Provides clarification raised on the SW Requirements.

        15. Review development test report and assess feature implementation maturity.

        16. Work with Validation and Integration test team to periodically assess the feature maturity.

      1. Requirement management and process compliance

        1. Establish the requirements baseline for features.

        2. Adhere to ASPICE standard level 2.

        3. Comply to the Software Requirements Management Plan

      Key Performance Indicators:

      • Schedule adherence

      • ASPICE Process Compliance

      • Quality of SW Requirements

      • Work packages definition available within 90 days of kickoff

      • Ageing of the defects in the feature

      Key Year One Deliverables:

      • Shall learn the Visteon process and practice it in the first assigned project.

      • Shall demonstrate the Work products created according to Visteon process.

      • Shall demonstrate the proficiency in the tools used in Visteon for SW Requirements.

      • Shall demonstrate the compliance to ASPICE L2 SWE.2

      Qualification, Experience and Skills:

      • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred)

      • 8+ years of experience in in automotive software domain

      • Knowledge and experience in the products Cluster/Displays

      • Experienced in embedded software development and Agile/ASPICE processes.

      • Familiar with AUTOSAR Architecture and components.

      • Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, LIN, FLexray Automotive Ethernet is a plus.

      • Strong knowledge on vehicle network, Fuel and Driver Information features

      • Experience in Requirements Management tools like DNG/Jira/ Confluence and tools like MATLAB, Visio.

      • Experience in Stepper motor drivers, calibration and stepper control algorithms like stall detection

      • Strong logical skill and experience in creating algorithms.

      • Hands on experience in debugging hardware circuits using tools like debuggers, logic analyzers, oscilloscope, current probes.

      • Exposure to the hardware circuits (ability to understand / analyze schematics) and understanding HW components datasheets/user manuals.

      • Experience to bookshelf/platform development is preferable.

      • Experience as a solution architect working with OEM’s is preferred.

      • Experience developing embedded real-time safety critical software systems using processes is also desirable.
