  Our Production Operator produces pre-mix animal nutrition products, meeting quality standards and customer expectations. This role reports to Plant Manager.
  
  Trouw Nutrition is seeking a full-time Production Operator for our Rosenort plant.

  Job Description:

  Job Responsibilities:

  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with machines and computer systems to produce animal feed in a timely manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations while meeting production targets.
  • Completing all paperwork required for assigned tasks.
  • Following quality standards, ensuring proper documentation for Food Safety.
  • Following housekeeping standards, and complying with all regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies.
  • Endeavors to be productive at all times.
  • Other duties as required.

  Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid class 5 license;
  • Basic computer skills / machinery operation / machine maintenance abilities
  • Positive work ethic and attitude, attention to detail;
  • Willingness and ability to learn; strong team and interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivated – able to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Able to work in a team environment;

  Expectation from the Role:

  • Able to work at heights
  • Capable of physical lifting (up to 25kg) repetitively
  • Shift work required (M-F: 6AM - 2PM / 2PM - 10PM, biweekly rotation)
  • Ability to work statutory holidays and weekends when needed
