Job summary
The job purpose is to explore and create opportunities for the deployment of virtual reality technologies at EHAAT.
We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to help us create the new survivors of the future. You'll have a track record in virtual reality in the clinical setting, and a passion for innovation.
The role will help deliver on a new part of our strategy, focussed upon the use of VR technologies in cardiac arrest care, specifically, improving rates of bystander CPR and defibrillation.
Virtual reality technology is rarely used in the hyperacute phase of critical illness and injury. We anticipate that this fellowship will help define our organisational trajectory in this area of technological advancement by working closely with our highly experienced clinical leaders.
The post will be a collaboration with our industry partners, Medical Realities. With opportunities to benefit from the expertise of this leading healthcare organisation, the postholder will spend some of their time working alongside experts in Virtual Reality and the metaverse.
The responsibilities will evolve during the duration of the post from phases of exploration through to creating a strategy and then delivering in key agreed areas. EHAAT is committed to supporting the postholder in securing further funding for the project via academic routes together with deployment of the expertise of our charity team in applying for specific funding through specialised grants.

About the company
National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
