What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead large, complex resilience programs in coordination with FEMA and local communities
- Manage project plans, budgets, teams, and resources while ensuring risk mitigation strategies
- Oversee technical experts and communication teams to support resilience planning and program implementation
- Coordinate with federal client agency and senior program staff
- Collaborate with corporate business units to deliver projects on time and on budget
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, planning, resilience, or related field; master’s degree preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- 10+ years of experience working with FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance programs
- 10+ years of project management experience, including managing large projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in resilience and mitigation planning
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Demonstrated capability in managing multitask contracts of $100M+
- Knowledge of risk management and risk reduction methodologies
- Experience in establishing and managing key stakeholder relationships
- Ability to provide a strategic perspective on projects related to public policy, emergency management, and community outreach
- Team and consensus-building skills
