Completes on site and/or virtual inspections of personal and commercial claims
Responsible for capturing the scope of damages and quantifying repair estimates to settle claims
Reconciles and validates vendor estimates to ensure price and scope is appropriate
Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyers in or order to obtain facts and information.
Review facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshall reports, case law, to make decisions on coverage, value of the claim and negotiate/settle the claim accordingly
Responsible for providing exemplary customer service and keeping related parties informed of the claims status while working to bring claims to a successful resolution as quick as possible
Responsible for data accuracy, issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other insurance companies.
Assistance during CAT's within Canada.
2+ years experience as an adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial lines claims
Strong background in Property Insurance and Customer Service
Preference given to a candidate with the ability to scope damages and prepare an estimate for repairs
Good PC skills and adaptable using new technology – usage of Hover considered an Asset
Valid driver’s license
The salary band for this position ranges from $55,600 to $103,200. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
