      Position Summary:

      We’re looking for a Genomic Scientist who has a true passion for genomic research and the vision of applying genomics at the point of care to save and improve lives.

      In your role as a Genomic Scientist, you will manage relationships with our customers at top research and clinical institutions. You will develop deep scientific and technical knowledge of genomic analytic platforms and its capabilities and use it to cultivate successful clinical relationships with key customers. You will be driving evaluation, implementation and ongoing customer engagement of leading genomic analysis platforms, and bring the genomic analytic experience that is needed to help our customers be successful. You will provide personal and clinical customer feature feedback in order to drive innovation in the platforms.

      Scope of Responsibilities

      • Develop a deep scientific and technical knowledge of the company’s genomic analysis products.
      • Serve as a subject matter expert for Illumina solutions.
      • Provide prompt response to scientific and genomic inquiries from health care providers
      • Train internal commercial team members on scientific and clinical value of the product.
      • Work closely with key customers/collaborators to problem solve difficult genomic cases through service and support elevations and relevant research studies.
      • Contribute to scientific messaging for promotional materials.

      Experience/Education

      • MD or PhD in a Life Science degree from a leading institution (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Computational Biology)
      • Genomic research or clinical background, with at least 2 years’ experience in genetic variant interpretation, NGS wet lab processes, genomic data analysis and/or NGS tools
      • Prior record of scientific publication
      • Prior experience supporting customers in a highly scientific / technical field
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to build partnership across technical, commercial and scientific specialties
      • Languages: English, Portuguese and Spanish are highly preferred
