- Coordinate multiple contract crews on multiple projects through management of multiple contractor FCC’s.
- Performs Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) through management of multiple contractor FCC’s.
- Assists, trains, and develops FCC’s in progression to improve their skill and experience level and to maintain a uniform interpretation of standard work practices.
- Assists contractor FCC’s with coordination of material needs and material delivery.
- Maintains relationships throughout Oncor and outside companies and effectively exchanges information with multiple parties both internal and external to Oncor to resolve issues and to maintain efficient workflow of a project.
- Interfaces with Transmission Grid Management and other utilities on clearances, holds, and reclosers required for projects.
- Validates actual work completed on all construction projects. This includes time and equipment on hourly projects.
- Regularly reports to various stakeholders on project status and conditions and develops documentation reports and procedures that are clearly understood and easy to apply.
- Identifies construction and system risks and helps formulate contingency plans to avoid unnecessary project risk and delays.
- Reacts to emergency situations to provide manpower and materials where necessary.
- Interprets safety rules and does not hesitate to enforce them.
- Makes recommendations to the Transmission Construction Manager concerning the safety of design and methods of construction as well as helping to improve work practices.
- Ensures compliance of all applicable laws and regulations associated with construction activities.
- Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 2 years of directly related work experience OR
- Minimum 3 of experience years in Transmission Operations, preferably with construction experience.
- Minimum 3 years of directly related work experience OR
- Minimum 5 years of experience years in Transmission Operations, preferably with construction experience.
- Broad knowledge of Transmission operations and maintenance and Transmission line and substation construction activities and materials.
- Comprehensive understanding of the potential impact that construction activities can have on system reliability.
- Understands Oncor Transmission and Contractor Safety Handbook requirements. Complies with and enforces safety rules.
- Able to constantly prioritize and reprioritize tasks resulting from changes in resources, materials, weather, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to use normal office programs and other company programs (MS Office suite, TOA, PETE, Field HQ, etc.)
- Ability to respond effectively and favorably to change. Can adjust and accept changes in priorities without undue loss of productivity
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external team members, both verbally and in writing.

Summary
The Field Construction Coordinator, directly or through others is responsible for managing the assignments, efforts, schedules and overtime of multiple contractor Field Construction Coordinators (FCC).
The Transmission FCC serves as the single point of contact on Transmission construction projects, providing general and specific project information to stakeholders. The FCC is responsible for requesting field design changes by the project engineer, documenting changes to the construction prints, and coordinating multiple aspects of the project with FCC Sr, FCC Lead, Transmission Construction Management, District Operations and contractor personnel. The Transmission FCC should be knowledgeable of Oncor and contractor safety regulations, construction standards, design specifications, and methodology. The Transmission FCC shall be able to effectively multi-task, effectively communicate with multiple parties and work with minimum supervision. This role requires a high percentage of on-site presence at one or more sites. Considerable travel may be required to fulfill the duties of this position.
The FCC Sr. does not have on-site supervision and must be able to work safely under physical, mental, and environmentally demanding and potentially hazardous conditions. During system emergencies, the FCC Sr. will be called on to make extemporaneous decisions concerning the most efficient and effective way to organize contractors, materials and clearances to restore service to the Transmission grid. Because of the unpredictability of system events, this job requires overtime and call-out as conditions warrant. This role requires a high percentage of on-site presence at one or more sites. Considerable travel is required to fulfill the duties of this position.
