      Overview:

      Marathon Oil Company is currently seeking an experienced Field Operator for the Central Kenedy team. The positions will be based in the EF field offices and report directly to the Production Supervisor. The Field Operator position is responsible for managing a large well count with various types of artificial lift and one or more production facilities. The position involves optimizing well and facility systems to maximize production reliability while being a safety leader and an environmental steward.

      Responsibilities:

      • Maintain a safe and clean work environment for the company.
      • Monitor, operate, and maintain wells and facilities. To include equipment such as separators, heater treaters, natural gas compressors, dehydration units, H2S treatment, tanks, sales pumps, chemical systems, and air compression.
      • Operate and optimize well performance - Flowing, gas lift, and pumping wells, ensure three-phase test skids and pumping units are in proper working order. Ensure all equipment is in proper working order and repair as required.
      • Ability to troubleshoot issues with surface production equipment, artificial lift, and well performance.
      • Ability to inspect equipment for reliability and safety problems such as leaks, wear, and tear. Make appropriate repairs or communicate needs for additional maintenance.
      • Ability to use various software packages (SCADA, Click, Synergi, Microsoft Office) and phone applications for production surveillance, work tasks, daily scheduling, and data entry.
      • Ability to collaborate with a variety of different organizations such as HES, completions, maintenance, operations, construction, and workover. Keep open communication and maintain professional working relationships.
      • Maintain site security by ensuring all gates, locks, and seals are verified.
      • Exhibit leadership ability in driving Marathon Health, Environmental and safety culture by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures. To include being an active participant in our behavior based safety program, follow all laws and regulations and maintain good housekeeping practices.

      Minimum Requirements:

      Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

      Experience: Prefer two (2) or more years in the oil & gas industry as a field operator

      Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office products and general computer skills required.

      Time Management: Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at one time is required

      Communication: Must possess excellent communication, teamwork, planning, and organizing skills

      Certifications: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
