Field Production Agronomist

Purpose:

Manage 100-400 hectares of field production activities for Corn seed (field) production in location to meet target quantity, standard quality, HSE and compliance

YOUR TASK and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform, People

• Select and manage production area and grower vendors to meet production target though seasonal manpower / outsourcing/ third party service
• Educate, communicate and support in Grower Agreement process
• Manage controls for Grower Vendors to follow seed operation procedures and work instructions.
• Record and collect all job-related documents, following company policies and seed operation procedures and/or farm input procedures and/or intake procedures and work instructions, including Farm Input Supply Distribution-Return and Purchase Ear Corn Procedure and Work Instructions.
• Inspect, collect and report the condition of seed field production, including problems and suggested solutions to Management team
• Monitor, track and update field , crop stage, quality rating data in Bayer system
• Plan, communicate and control harvesting process with grower and post harvesting team
• Manage costs within budget.

Sustainability Stewardship, Quality, Compliance and Safety

• Ensures operations are compliant to Bayer requirements and local regulations, including HSE, Quality, and Sustainability standards.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agricultural or related field.
• Able to travel and work upcountry
• Valid driving license and good driving skill.
• Experience in agricultural business.
• Seed production experience is preferable
