What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct field trials for corn and soybean crops, including planning, communication, packaging, planting, note taking, and harvest
- Secure quality trial land in the testing area
- Serve as an expert on yield trialing processes and protocols
- Work autonomously to solve complex problems
- Supervise third-party contract labor for assistance in planting, phenotyping, and harvest
- Lead projects with impact across station/sites and provide guidance and support to team members
- Communicate regularly with trialing manager on project status and activities
- Operate tractors and research combines for planting and data collection

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in an agriculture-related discipline preferred, or relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience post academia
- Experience with precision agriculture equipment and software systems
- Understanding of plant genetics and breeding
- Knowledge of corn and soy crops and trialing practices
- Proficient in modern agronomic practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CDL Class A with Airbrakes or ability to acquire
- Pesticide Applicators License Holder or ability to acquire
- Drone experience, and/or ability to acquire a drone license
- Ability to use MS Office, Smartsheet, and other standard office software
- Ability to use proprietary IT systems for data collection/analysis and tracking agronomic practices

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience in agriculture-related roles
