Job Description

- Visit customer sites to conduct repairs to Nordson equipment as requested
- Complete installations of new equipment in line with Nordson procedures & policies
- Determining investment requirements (preparation of CAPEX)
- Conduct service agreements for customers as per schedule plan
- Maintain & account for own stock through accurate paperwork & good house keeping
- Complete customer call reports & other required paperwork in line with job function
- Pro-actively up-sell spare parts, repairs & service agreements to customers
- Gain firm knowledge of assigned territory through courtesy calls & liaison with sales team
- Report all activities & customer data in CRM system to ensure complete transparency
- Support other members of engineering team to ensure the “collective” work is completed
- Any other duties as requested by management
- Technical education in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Electrical bias preferred
- Field based engineering experience preferred
- Knowledge of pumps, pneumatic, hydraulic & fluid principles
- Ability to work independently using own initiative or be a member of a team, when required
- Ability to show structured method of work, planning and executing different workloads
- Strong oral and written communication, with commercial & negotiation capabilities
- Ability to be flexible in day-to-day duties & willing to stay away overnight if required (2-3 nights per month)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & general IT skills & C4C
- Valid driving licence, passport & legal permit to work in the UK

Nordson Adhesive Dispensing Systems, a leading provider of adhesive dispensing solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team in South Yorkshire, remote as Field Service Engineer (m/f/d). Summary of the role
The Field Service Engineer reports to the Technical Service Manager Packging. The position holder is responsible for conducting engineering work at all customers within the designated territory. The area covers South Yorkshire (Sheffield – Nottingham – Boston – Hull). The workload will include servicing, repair & fault-finding & installation of all Nordson manufactured PPA equipment. A level of pro-active selling will also be expected.
