- Accurate and timely maintenance and qualification visits.
- Lowest repeated call rates post-maintenance.
- Perform on-site installation, repair, preventative maintenance, and qualification of instrumentation
- Must be client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.
- Must be proficient with the use of customer management software to track service calls, manage parts inventories, and complete job tasks.
- Reviews reports and documentation from customers and inspects malfunctioning product to determine nature and scope of problem.
- Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
- Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Analyzes instrument generated chemistry and performance reports of technical issues to recommend factory modifications that eliminate future events of the same issue.
- Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
- Associate’s degree or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience; bachelor’s degree in chemistry, sciences or related field is highly preferred
- 5+ years hands-on experience as a Service Engineer preferred or 3+ years’ trace elemental analysis (TEA) experience working with analytical instrumentation; e.g. ICP-MS, ICP-OES, Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Mass Spectroscopy (MS) preferred
- Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, e.g. ICP-MS, ICP-OES, Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Mass Spectroscopy (MS)
systems preferred.

As our new Engineer, you will be delivering routine service activities for the Unity Lab Services Service group. It is a dedicated field-based role supporting our customers on a wide product range, but mainly focusing on ICP-MS and ICP-OES instruments. You will primarily focus on delivering preventive maintenance, installation- and services repairs with the purpose of achieving:
Working as part of the dedicated service team, you will take part in providing marked-leading services exceeding customer’s expectations every single day.
Territory: up to 75% travel in primary territory: Southern MI, Northern IN & OH; occasional travel to WI, WV, KY, etc. Candidate must live in Southern MI.
