- Oversee system’s startup including hardware installation activities from move in, until application qualification level on different systems model
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, by using troubleshooting and problem solving methodologies, executing best known procedure and plan of action
- Perform system retrofit and upgrades and p rovide technical advice to customers on company products
- Coordinate and provide technical discussion between the customer and our team in terms of product issue, roadmap, Continuous Improve Project and upgrades
- Propose and participate to internal or external Continuous Improvement Project (CIP) and s upport providing adequate training customers on tool operations
- Point of contact at different customer sites for daily consultations, e nsure clear and accurate reporting, internally and externally and r eport nonconformance from customers’ sites on QA system
- Utilize all the internal tools for activities reporting
- Cross share knowledge within global team and other Unity departments
- High School diploma or GED with 3+ years of field service experience or skilled trade expertise (mechanical, plumbing, military, electronics, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline
- Electronics background/experience
- Ability to read and understand technical documents
- Proficient with tools and test equipment. Tools include basic precision hand tools, voltage meter, basic power tools, drills, etc. Test equipment includes test boxes for qualifications, meters for verifications, etc.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable, with a passion for delivering outstanding service and exceeding customer expectations
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to handle difficult customers and situations
- Basic IT skills (i.e. ability to use computer for inter-equipment communications, uploading software from computer to the systems, use of iPad and iPhone, etc.). Ability to use field service software.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision

Your Role
As a Field Service Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment, you will be providing Unity’s system installations, warranty, and service contract at the customer site. You will attend to customer’s daily requests of technical support, consultation and implementation of technical solutions. You will represent and ensure the credibility of the company with system installations, warranty, service contract and customers’ requests with a high autonomy level. This role is a REMOTE position based in Portland, OR. Travel required : 60% west coast travel, 30% east coast travel and 10% international travel.

Pay Range for this position - $84,700 - $131,000
