      Description

      *This position services the Puget Sound area. Our office is located in Mukilteo, WA*
      Position Summary:
      • Supervise and train field technicians and facilitate the advancement of technician's skills and knowledge of the low voltage industry.
      Job Duties:
      • Manage, train and evaluate designated service and installation technicians.
      • Relay customer questions and complaints regarding installation and service to the department managers.
      • Provide technical support to service and installation technicians.
      • Monitor technician's compliance with company policies and standards pertaining to field repairs and installations.
      • Enforce safety regulations on the job site.
      • Promote and maintain an efficient work environment in the field.
      • Educate designated service and installation technicians in NEC 70, NEC 72, and Bay Alarm Company standards.
      • Schedule training and education for technicians at the Bay University
      • Provide 24 hour on-call support that may be required even on weekends and holidays.
      • Work daily with the Operations Manager (or Installation and Service Managers) for the advancement of the technicians.
      • All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned
      Requirements:
      • 3-5 years alarm installation experience preferred
      • Must have qualified L&I work hours towards obtaining a EL06 card
      • Journeyman experience preferred but not required
      • Pass classes and exams
      • 2 years as a level III installer or Senior Level technician required
      • 3-5 years experience training or directing others required
      • Successful completion of Trainer -- Install 2 (Trainer 2) course required
      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • 1-2 years post-high school education preferred
      • Excellent communication skills required Other Qualifications:
      • Good interpersonal skills required
      • Thorough knowledge of security systems required
      • Thorough knowledge of NFPA and UL standards required
      • Basic understanding of NEC and building codes required
      • Basic data entry and retrieval skills required
      • Intermediate word processing and basic spreadsheet competence preferred

      Preferred:

      • 3-5 Years direct industry experience
      • EL06 Limited Energy License
      • NICET Level 2 Certification Fire Alarm Systems
      • FA-1 Seattle Fire Certification
      • Specific product experience: Burglary (DMP/Ademco) / Access (DMP/PDK) / CCTV (Open Eye/Digital Watchdog/Axis) / Fire Alarm (Firelite/Autocall/Silent Knight)
