      Position Highlights

      This 4-H Program Coordinator position will be part of a dynamic team of professionals developing and delivering STEM education and community outreach programs at Tucson Village Farm through the Pima County Cooperative Extension.

      The person in this position must be able to work independently and under guidance from the county agent to oversee the coordination of Tucson Village Farm Field Trips and assist in volunteer recruitment and training.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      1. Field Trips

      - Oversees that programming is meeting the educational outcomes outlined by Tucson Village Farm staff and agent.
      - Designs, develops and creates innovate programming and projects for Arizona 4-H, Tucson Village Farm, Pima County and the Tucson community.
      -Coordinates with teachers and educators educational field trips.
      -Oversees invoices and tracking of field trip payments.

      2. Volunteer Management
      - Recruits, trains, schedules and coordinates field trip educators, this includes UArizona interns, AmeriCorps members and community volunteers.
      -Assists volunteers through the Designated Campus Colleague (DCC) process.

      3. Large Events
      -Assists with large events, camps, workshops, classes and ropes course events at the Tucson Village Farm.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
      Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals.
      Ability to work with students and teachers from across Pima County.
      Knowledge of urban agriculture and youth development. Knowledge curriculum development.
      Skill in public speaking and presenting information to large groups.

      Minimum Qualifications
      • Up to 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
