Back-up your team for running month-end processes and master file data changes
Maintain expenditure authority grids
Complete monthly journal entries for general and administration, production accounting, etc.
Maintain exception and integrity reports for control processes
Manage carbon tax, other government filings, and documentation compliance
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Current enrollment or pending enrollment in the CPA program
Proficiency in Microsoft excel and Power BI
Experience in data analysis and / or oil and gas accounting would be considered an asset

The Opportunity
Are you a recent accounting or finance graduate seeking a new opportunity? Do you have a passion for process improvement? Vermilion is #hiring a new grad Accounting and Finance Analyst! We have an exciting position for a recent accounting or finance graduate with a desire to develop skills in the oil and energy industry and to pursue a CPA designation.
You will have an opportunity to gain exposure to our operations accounting and finance teams. You will take on day to day tasks, projects, and help develop new processes. You will build on your existing excel and Power BI skills, while gaining exposure to SAP as Vermilion undergoes a significant technology transformation. You will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.
