      MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
      FINANCE ASSOCIATE


      As a Finance Associate (12 month FTC) at Kainos, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of f inance tasks. You will be working as part of a Finance team within a fast-paced PLC environment to effectively deliver support for the core business.

      The key responsibilities for this role include:
      • Performing weekly reconciliations for various bank accounts in a variety of currencies.

      Support the Accounts Payable team by reviewing and submitting supplier invoices for approval and processing global payments.
      • Updating weekly cashflow forecasts for Group bank accounts
      • Reviewing employee expense submission in line with Kainos’ expense policy.
      Assisting with credit control tasks as required.
      • Liaising with other departments in Kainos (e.g. Facilities, Systems, People Support and Operations) as well as external stakeholders (e.g. suppliers, banks and customers) .
      Providing assistance to the Group Tax Manager as requested
      • Providing support to the rest of the Finance team including the Finance Manager(s) and Group Head of Finance as required .

      MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
      A degree ( i n preferably Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (minimum 2:2 classification) ) , or at least 1 year of relevant experience in a Finance team.


      • Ability to work efficiently and comfortably prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
      • A self-starter who can work on their own initiative with minimal supervision
      • Sound verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders
      • We all work in teams here in Kainos – a proven ability of strong team skills, including taking direction from others, is crucial
      • Highly flexible, including a willingness to work flexible hours at peak times
      • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook and Word.

      • Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes.



      DESIRABLE:

      • Knowledge of accounting software e.g. Workday or a similar package.
