Participate in the month-end and quarter-end close by supporting the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and reports
Help with ad-hoc reporting requirements for team members including preparation of slide decks for monthly or quarterly variances
Conduct daily data loads, including reviewing interchange rates to ensure rates agree to interchange standards issued by the Card Brand Association, and reconciling total interchange from the Card Brand Association reports to the bank
Merchant contract auditing to ensure agreed upon rates are correctly set up in Moneris systems
Help with the monthly variance analysis to forecasts, plan, and prior year
Help with the continuous improvement and automation of financial and management reporting process
Pursuing a degree in accounting or finance program, or recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in Accounting or Finance
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels
Strong analytical, accounting, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to details
Proficient in Microsoft Windows/MS Office Applications (experience with PowerPoint creating slides and presentations)
At least 1 year experience with Excel (intermediate to advanced proficiency and regular use of excel functions, pivot tables, etc.)
Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively with the team.
Results-oriented with the ability to set realistic and attainable goals and meet those promptly

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
Your main goal is to support departments in the optimization of revenues and accuracy of reporting. You will assist department leads with the preparation of accounting journal entries, financial statements, revenue reconciliations, improvement of financial and management reporting processes, and development of financial reporting decks to support strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the Manager of Revenue Assurance , you will participate in the month-end and quarter-end process, reporting and reconciliation, while working internally with multiple teams.
Contract Term: 12 months.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager of Revenue Assurance .
