- 10+ years of professional work experience in finance, accounting, planning, and forecasting
- 7+ years of people management experience
- Experience communicating effectively with customers and ability to think through customer's needs in advance
- Ability to use organizational and industry knowledge to develop solutions to enhance the strategic planning process through thoughtful analysis of market and competitive landscape trends across the Global Supply Chain organization
- Ability to apply deep understanding of the planning and forecasting process to identify opportunities to process optimize and improve
- Ability to build strong business partnerships, and collaborate across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to strategically influence stakeholders in the adoption and use of optimized planning and forecasting processes
- Experience as a manager of managers
- Demonstrated experience in project management and root-cause analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital solutions to enable execution of forecasting abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with MicroSoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong working knowledge of OneStream and/or Oracle Cloud preferred
- Familiarity with financial analysis of a manufacturing and supply chain’s accounting-related systems, tools, and processes
- Experience implementing new financial processes
- Manage overall strategic operations of planning and forecasting for the Global Supply Chain organization and capital projects
- Develop strong relationships with Group Finance and other Enterprise Finance organizations, with a focus on collaboration and customer service
- Identify complex business performance issues and present insights on the consolidated internal reports and external presentations
- Recommend planning and business performance insights to define and execute action plans
- Identify and assess cost and effect patterns in the business not collected in existing reporting
- Ensure successful execution on capital planning review/analysis and provide guidance on optimal use of cash
- Provide decision support and guidance
- Lead a team of two direct reports with a focus on talent development; set standards of performance, coach, train, and develop employees through regular, clear, and consistent communication of goals and deliverables

Responsibilities
The Sherwin-Williams Enterprise Financial, Planning & Analytics team provides centralized planning and forecasting for Sherwin-Williams’ global businesses. This includes partnering with the company’s business units to develop an accurate view and expectation of business drivers enabling business strategy and action.
The Director of Operations and Capital Planning & Forecasting will support the Global Supply Chain organization and guide the strategic and tactical direction for operations and capital project planning and forecasting. The incumbent will partner closely with the business and identify ongoing continuous improvement opportunities across the forecasting and planning processes, as well as the company’s global system integration projects. Additionally, the incumbent will manage a team that supports the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of financial models for forecasting and analytics, monthly rolling and annual forecasts, and capital project planning processes. The incumbent will report to the Sr. Director of Operations Planning & Forecasting for the Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, and will identify trends across the Global Supply Chain organization to support the monthly and quarterly assessment of business performance in driving strategic business analysis.
