Job Description

Receiv ing cash, issu ing receipts, prepar ing and reconcil ing corporate accounts and bank deposits.
Prepar ing and maintain ing monthly/quarterly statements for reinsurers, issuers, brokers, etc.
Prepar ing journal entries.
Support ing SGI employees with corporate credit card and expense reporting submissions.
Process ing payments to SGI customers and business partners.
Maintain ing customer account files and notes information.
Record ing payments issued and received, and monitor ing accounts payable and accounts receivable due to/from vendors, issuers, brokers and reinsurers.
Investigat ing account anomalies/variances, providing supporting detail and explanation.
Respond ing to inquiries from other departments, customers, brokers, internal/external partners providing technical assistance on SGI CANADA billing programs, payment plans, and customer receivables or forwards to the appropriate SGI business area.
Process ing payment information (new applicants/renewals/revisions) from customers and brokers sent through various methods of transmittal for integration into the billing system with underwriting issuance.
Balanc es , deposits and applies payments against customer receivables.
Establish ing payment plans in SGI’s billing system and updat ing payment information as required (banking information, withdrawal date, etc.).
Pay attention to detail.
Enjoy investigating anomalies & variances.
Can respond to inquiries by providing explanation and analysis.

This internship program has been developed in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action #92, which calls for increased employment opportunities for Indigenous peoples.
The program has been developed by Crown Investments Corporation and Saskatchewan’s Crown corporations to provide a mechanism to bridge Indigenous graduates from eligible post-secondary institutes into permanent employment opportunities with the Crown sector, provincial government or the private sector in Saskatchewan.
