      We are looking for a Finance/Accounting Intern to be a part of our Finance Department at our Stockton Managed Facilities (Adventist Health Arena, Bob Hope Theatre, Oak Park Ice Rink, Stockton Ballpark and Stockton Marina). You will work closely with our finance and accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial activities. This internship will provide you with a wide range of accounting experience, from bank transactions to financial report preparation.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Research, record, and reconcile daily bank transactions into the general ledger.
      • Process accounts payable in compliance with the Association's policies and procedures.
      • Complete all assigned monthly, quarterly, and year-end close task accurately and timely.
      • Prepare financial reports and statements.
      • Assist other departments with requests, including but not limited to re-issuing and/or voiding checks.
      • Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

      Desired Qualifications and Skills

      • Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
      • Must understand core accounting principles.
      • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
      • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Must have a solid knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel and Word.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
      • Ability to take initiative, but also able to ask for directions when needed.

      Compensation: $16.00 per hour
